The Spain Golden Visa Program offers a range of benefits to foreign investors (and their families) who are looking to relocate to Spain.

  • Freedom of movement:  The Golden Visa allows its holders to travel freely within the Schengen Area for up to 90 days every six months.
  • Taxes: The Golden Visa in Spain does not oblige you to pay any taxes, it depends on the total time of residence in the country. If this is more than 183 days per year, then you are obliged to declare your total income. However, what you will have to account for to the Spanish authorities will be the profits from the investment made.
  • Residency: The visa grants the right to residency in Spain for up to 5 years. Residency can be obtained within one to two months after the initial investment has been made. After ten years, you are given the option to apply for Spanish citizenship.
  • Family: Family members of the Golden Visa holder are also eligible for the same benefits, including the right to live, work, and study in Spain.
